UPCOMING TECHNICAL EVENTS

The AMC series began in 1991, first hosted by The University of Newcastle and has grown into the leading forum in the Australasian region for the exchange of ideas between representatives across the masonry industry. In the 10th Edition, many of the challenges associated with managing the large population of existing masonry buildings were addressed, including many wonderful examples contributing to our built cultural heritage

The 10th Australasian Masonry Conference was hosted by The University of Newcastle, Think Brick Australia and CMAA and was held at the PARKROYAL Hotel, Darling Harbour, Sydney, on 11-14 February, 2018. The AMC series began in 1991, first hosted by The University of Newcastle and has grown into the leading forum in the Australasian region for the exchange of ideas between representatives across the masonry industry. In the 10th Edition, many of the challenges associated with managing the large population of existing masonry buildings were addressed, including many wonderful examples contributing to our built cultural heritage. In addition, the challenges surrounding the use and reuse of masonry products in new construction were tabled and discussed. The scope included applications using all masonry products, including bricks, blocks and pavers.
