ADVOCACY

We work with government bodies, regulators and key industry stakeholders to shape policies and grow relationships that support sustainable and innovative design using concrete masonry and paving products.

SUSTAINABILITY

We are leading the industry towards a lower carbon future. Partnering with researchers and participating in industry sustainability working groups and committees, we are helping to educate our members on how to reduce their carbon footprint. Our first Industry Sustainability Roadmap and Strategy was published in 2024, and we will update this with member progress towards net-zero emissions in 2025.

EDUCATION AND RESOURCES

We offer a host of technical guides for the construction of concrete masonry structures, as well as segmental and permeable concrete pavements. Additionally, we host university lecturers educating engineers and architects on masonry design to enable them to design the infrastructure of the future. We have a technical hotline to provide fast assistance to those wishing to use concrete masonry products in their own projects.

ENGAGEMENT

We remain actively engaged with the industry by supporting research projects to advance innovation in the masonry industry. CMAA also partners with Think Brick Australia to run the annual Think Brick Awards, Australia’s richest design awards. We stay engaged with our members and key industry stakeholders by running frequent technical events covering new changes for the masonry industry.
