The Mona Vale Hospital Community Centre was recently constructed by Adco Constructions. Set on the headland of Mona Vale Beach, this state of the art Community Centre was built using a combination of Austral Masonry’s 190mm concrete blocks in the colours of Alabaster (off white) & Charcoal (black). The areas where they were very affective was in the planter boxes (Charcoal) & two large feature walls in the front & the rear of the building (Alabaster). The walls were laid in stack bond, this is unusual as it isn’t typically how blocks are laid, it appears modern & distinct, fits well with the landscape. FB Masonry was the bricklaying contractor, the architect was McConnel, Smith & Johnson Architec.
