The owners brief “A house for living in!†drove design of this single storey addition, stitched in between altered retained elements of the original 1960’s house. Filled with joyous surprising spaces, a collaborative process has resulted in a collection of internal and external places that feel meant to be. “A house for living in!†exclaimed Kate at the start. “Textured and warm with a touch of whimsy – and no stunts that will dateâ€. Kate sought a calm joyous family house, a place which provided a bespoke canvas for diverse and abundant art and “stuffâ€. Collaboration with Kate explored working with site and brief for a result that appears to reveal itself effortlessly and a series of spaces that feel meant to be.  Opportunities for memorable entry experiences, blurred zoning and exciting garden
