This innovative, child-first childcare centre will house up to 130 children and is the signature centre for this progressive organisation. Designed from a child’s eye view, it features a vibrant entrance way and fish-tank reception area. Seven individually themed ‘homes’ adapt to children’s changing activities and needs throughout the day. They open off Rainbow Street a flexible covered indoor-outdoor play space. The home-like design fosters an atmosphere of belonging. Rest rooms are quiet and calming, and storage and utilities thoughtfully considered for a highly inhabitable space.
