The redevelopment of the Sunshine Bus transport interchange is a major project completed by Brimbank City Council. The upgraded facility provides additional CC TV cameras, improved lighting for pedestrians, a restriction on cars within the key pick-up and set down areas and importantly, a new pedestrian crossing within the exchange providing enhanced safety to pedestrians and bus users alike. The new crossing is a feature in this redefined space and links large expanses of Adbri Trihex pavers which have been laid in a striking pattern featuring an array of colours injecting vibrancy, life and energy into this space. The paving pattern acts as a feature with pavements of Trihex used for pedestrian paths throughout the area. This vibrant paving compliments a key aspect of the interchange which is a bright and engaging mural which was designed in conjunction with local youth groups and provides an artistic element that the local community can celebrate and be proud of.
