The Northern Park in Reveley situated in the dynamic Perth suburb of Ellenbrook and is a small, intimate space that incorporates a ‘stylised ruin’ of a Georgian brick cottage.

This mosaic of bricks, paving and other landscaping elements tells a historical tale of Government House in Perth, a handsome brick and stucco Georgian building designed and built by the first architect and engineer in the colony, Henry Reveley, in 1834.

This forms the centrepiece of the park and provides a paved seating area complete with brick fireplace, brick ‘carpet’• styled on traditional Georgian carpet patterns, and a wrought iron Georgian lounge.

Tree and plant selection in the garden reflects plant species common in the Georgian era, and low brick walls and piers on the edges of the park resemble remnants of old garden walls, lending a feel of Georgian domesticity to the park.
