The Approved Installer Program is a CMAA training program which is intended to provide workshop style training for designers and installers of pavements, and for council engineers.
The main objective of this program is to educate paviers who have not undertaken formal training the correct method of installing and maintaining clay and concrete segmental pavements.
The program is split into 4 modules, each with a different area of focus and target demographic. The four modules are:
• Module 1 – An Introduction to Paving
• Module 2 – Maintenance
• Module 3 – Advanced
• Module 4 – Inspections
Students who successfully complete the assessment requirements of each module will obtain accreditation to demonstrate that they are competent and knowledgeable in the installation methods for clay and concrete segmental pavements.
The Approved Installer Program will soon begin conducting its first classes for modules 1 and 2.
